My current gilt is the only pig that has "made the cut" to stick around, lol. She's sweet, not aggressive, doesn't challenge fences... Overall keeper pig!

Well my chicken, turkey and rooster yards perimeter are 3 wire electric fence on the outside. "Miss Pork Chop" has tested all the fencing with her nose. Got zapped twice that I seen and has since stopped testing the fence.

She did however bust through the door to the turkey yard and somehow ended up in the rooster yard. We never found where she got into the rooster yard though, she a little houdini I guess.... Those inner sections are not electrified only the outer perimeter is.

I had my DW help me get her back into the chicken yard and the turkeys and roosters back into their yards. My DW said to "Miss Pork Chop" "You just wanted to say hi to the turkeys and roosters didn't you Pork Chop?" And of course you know "Miss Pork Chop" looking all innocent, wagged her tail and snorted as to say Yes and like she completely understood what my wife was saying to her... Good Lord

The birds and pig look great :thumbsup And it sounds like Miss Pork Chop settled in very nicely over there by you… Like @NH Homesteader said, they do tend to make the task a bit easier when the time comes, but doing something stupid or annoying. I know all about that! lol My favourite pigs were usually the ones that ended up escaping from the pen daily, or get aggressive, or start biting…

"Miss Pork Chop" hu...

So I just came from the kitchen, DW was cutting a couple of apples into chunks. I said to her you got a taste for apples hu? She then said "A apple a day, keeps the doctor away. Hope the same holds true for Pork Chop". DW never cut a apple up for me like that before .

LMAO I think @NH Homesteader is right... Pet Miss Pork Chop..... not Eating Miss Pork Chop.. ha!!!

I agree...she just has an adorable face, is all.

I had a sweet and good pig once and she never did anything so bad that she annoyed me...except for the last day, when they tried to load her in the truck to haul her to the butcher...didn't annoy me, but sure did make my Dad mad. Poor thing just wouldn't get on that truck...it was almost like she knew. I cried all that day...I was a teenager and that was the first animal I had loved that was due to be food.

I'd sit in her pen on a stump and she would lay her huge self across my lap and get her belly scratched. When she escaped the pen, she'd just graze clover around the pen until it was time to eat, then scoot back in the pen when I called her. She was a sweety. Her name was Matilda.

She had a cutie face like Miss Pork Chop...like she was smiling all the time.
