Help...plugged sink

I would bail out the cold dirty water and flush it down the pot. See if you can plug the air gap doo-hickey. Duct tape might work. That will allow the plunger to do it's thing and get ALL the pressure to the clog. Once you get all the cold water out, try some boiling hot water next.

Bail out the sink and then try the baking soda trick. It may take a couple of times but it won't harm anything.

Try what other's have recommended. Lye is also a drain cleaner, but use that as a last resort. Before calling a plumber, try either a snake or get a bucket and a wrench, get under the sink and see if you can find it.

Duct tap air gap dohickey and re-plunge ....check

baking soda/vinegar/boiling water....check

Nada.

Off to the store....gonna pull out the big guns. Time for chemicals. I have a cooking class today :/

Good luck. I know that lye (and probably any lye-based powdered cleaners) work VERY well on hair and such, but I'm not sure about other organic materials. I went through a big ordeal with my bath tub. I could see some hair stuck in the drain strainer thing, and eventually grabbed my lye and dumped some in it. The water would slowly drain out, but was definately stopped up a good bit. After using lye, I eventually realised that one of the kids had put the drain stopper lever up, but not entirely. I felt like a complete and utter idiot. But, I did learn that lye turns hair to soup. Anyways, good luck with it!

Well............did'ya get the drain to drain?

Inquiring minds need to know. :pop
