Just curious, what do you all those portable bathrooms? I've always called them Porta-Potty, but I have also heard Porta-John. Is it a brand thing? Like Velcro. There is Velcro brand, and all the others are called hook and loop tape.
They are not all the same, Lots of the short term ones are just tanks to collect waste and should be emptied daily. Others are true chemical toilets that can stay on site and pumped when needed. The tank type smell like while the chemical types will often have a chemical and/or a smell killer or pleasent scent. The names are often Trademarked in hopes that you will remember the better ones

We have Honey Buckets all over here, but we still don't call them that, lol.

It's a beautiful day! It's the first day it hasn't rained here since May 14th I think. You should hear the lawn movers and assorted power tools... It's a balmy 67 degrees. I feel for you Phoenix, at 107! Well, not to be overly optimistic but... I now have the lease to sign and get my parents to co-sign. They've already agreed to that. Once it's signed, I can take possession of it on Wednesday. Still have to decide when to actually move. It won't feel real until I'm on the phone scheduling the moving truck.

On an ironic note: There's a small hydrangea in my front yard. It's never bloomed while I've lived here, and generally looked bad. I gave it an extra good trim this year, and guess what? I see blooms! I won't get to see what color it it! I was crossing my fingers for pink.

That is the grossest name ever! When I moved up here and saw "Honey Bucket" on the side of one of those I had to do a double take!

Our family always called the outhouse the Biffy... but i don't know if that was just a family thing. The portable ones we call Porta-Potty here... or Johnny-on-the-Spot... :)

Just got back from the Harbor. Parent's co-signed the lease and we sent it off. Possibly moving next Saturday. Again, until I call the moving truck, it's not real. I've been watching housing rentals in Gig Harbor, and from what I can tell, I'm getting a good deal. Unless something terrible pops up.

Taking stuff to Goodwill tomorrow, hopefully! I made a really strange sounding dinner. Asparagus tamale casserole. We had these really good tamales from Eastern Washington, and they had asparagus and cheese in the middle. So I copied it, in a way. Just took a tamale casserole recipe and subbed cheese and asparagus instead of chicken. It turned out really well!

Arg... I hate my serger right now! I'm trying to finish my second set of cloth pads, and the stupid thing keeps skipping stitches. It only does in on the insert part-the part with the PUL. I can serge any other kind of fabric with no problems. I changed needles, re-threaded, and opened it all up and cleaned it out. I'm so mad at it, I feel like taking a hammer to it. I made my last set of pads just fine, so why is it doing this to me?? I thought it was because the PUL was sliding too much, but it even skipped stitches when I went over a completely finished pad, there was no sliding. I just want to finish this, but the more I try to fix it, the worse the stupid thing gets.

I know nothing about a serger. My mother has one, but when she passes (long time from now, she's only 80!), I guess my sis and I will have to decide what to do with it.

Sergers can be the greats things, or make you go insane. :somad

I just saw this commercial, and since I'm already slightly cranky, it made me even more irritated. Kleenex disposable hand towels. They claim that hand towels will get you sick.

Looks like they made a mistake marketing this on Earth Day, lol. But check this out, this site bashing cloth hand towels so much that some sheep posted saying that they are "re-thinking using cloth towels." I am nauseous.
