I found all the parts of this hen-shaped egg cooker in the bottom of the free box at the thrift store today, and I'm going to give it a try for hard-boiled eggs after I get it cleaned up:

The oval with four compartments for poaching eggs would be just right for us, too.

If you use an egg cooker, any tips?

That is cute, but like FEM, I'm afraid I'm no help. Please let us know how it worked for you and great find, btw!

I am happy to report Henrietta performed flawlessly on both hard-boiled and poached eggs for us.

I filled the water reservoir almost to the top to boil 7 large eggs, and they came out easy to shell and non-rubbery. For poaching, I filled to the "Medium" line and then added more when they were still too jiggly for our taste. Easy to use and modify to your needs!

This little appliance is available on Amazon for about $25, so I am very pleased with my free score.
