I do the 'pulled down the snowy trails by two large dogs who will run until they are exhausted'... mostly my job is to not fall down so they can continue running :)

I do also work on my ski jumping, slalom and snowboarding (on the wii) like dacjohns.

So, yeah, no real hard phsyical activity outside, other than bringing firewood from the shed to the house and shovelling a 200 foot long driveway...

I like to do Monster Truck Rallies during this weather.....it's a really popular sport here and consists of getting hung up in every driveway of each patient I visit because I have a monster truck....the monster being Frankenstein.

Nuts and bolts sticking out, moves slowly and with lumbering grace and every time it actually starts I shout, "IT'S ALIVE!!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!"

I really don't like this truck...the best thing I can say about it is that it actually is running. Sounds like a washing machine, but it runs. :/

Even got it hung in my own back yard this week....never had a vehicle that was so worthless in the snow. :tongue

My winter sports is "try to stand up just to get to the chicken house". Then there is the ever so popular "try to stand up with the dogs running circles around you".
Last but not least,.."try not falling in the pond while getting the ducks out and in their house for the night".
Who needs "real" sports?? :gig I love winter! :love

Each season holds an appeal to me...winter is the same. I'm with you, UTC! If I didn't love winter, I wouldn't live in a place that has so dang much of it!

The wood fire is almost hypnotic.....I could doze away each day sitting next to my little stove. I find myself very reluctant to leave my home or even my living room when there is that little stove throwing off that comforting heat. HATE to go to work each morning and leave my wood fire..... :hit

Can't have that in the summer..... :p

My wood stove is my very favourite part of winter... mine's in my kitchen and there's no where to sit out there, so I've found myself baking bread, learning to can, and generally making excuses to hang out in the kitchen.

Skr8pn do you ski ?

:gig I'd break something if I tried, actually a friend of mine broke a leg skiing and I'm too scared to even try it.

Onto the wood stove, am I ever happy we spent so much time putting ours in this year (oh crud, last year) We don't have much wood, but by golly I can't wait to start that fire in the evenings, the warmth is just SO different to using electric heat, it warms my soul too! :D

Glad to see some XCers on here, do hiking and snowshoeing when there's enough.

Going telemarking tomorrow on my vintage 1989 leathers. I swear nextyear I will buy new gear! Haha.

Unfortunately, we didn't get much snow, so I've had to settle for making mud angels instead.
:gig Do you have pis of that? So I can see how it is done properly, for future reference, and all.
