Hi everyone! My name is tripletfeb and I have been a member of Backyardchickens.com for years. My husband and I are getting into the self sufficient community for emergency reasons and just to be prepared. Right now, we have chickens for eggs and have a small garden that I can a lot of stuff from. We live in a small town in the country so we can't have pigs or cows because of neighbors but we do have a family farm where we get a lot of our meat and my husband hunts. It's nice to meet all of you and I hope to gain lots of good information from this site!

Welcome from Va. I just moved into a "new to me" purchased house after not being able to have my chickens at the last one.... know how aggravating that can be..... Had to keep them at my DS's place. Got alot of work to do in the house, and knees get replaced in 2 months... then I might be able to do some things.... but nice to not be at the mercy of a landlord and pay less payment every month.... and it is mine..... WIN all the way around. Gardening again next year I hope after none for a couple of years with the pains.... ankle replaced in Feb 2020, was a big success; knees next end of Oct 2021... I will be the bionic woman then!!!!
