Hi everyone...

I live in the SW desert and started my urban homestead about 4 years ago...

Never in my dreams did I think chickens would be so dang addictive! Well, never imagined I would be raising chickens either. :)

But the bug bit and it big HARD!

I now have 12 fruit and nut trees, more chickens than I care to confess to, grape vines, raspberry bushes, blackberry bushes, a strawberry scape... And it just keeps going on and on... All on less than 1/5 of a acre in the city.

I look forward to learning from all the wisdom here... For example, can almond trees make sap for syrup?

Cheers,
DesertSkyNM

Welcome!
You are right, there is something really addictive about chickens...I have really not been able to figure out what it is but I wish my dang sister would get some so she can stop teasing me about my obsession with them LOL!
