I use a Diva Cup now, which takes some getting used to, but I like it WAY more than the alternatives.

I have something similar for emergencies, but never really got comfortable with them :/

They do have a VERY big learning curve... and the, uhh, mistakes, are NOT fun. It isn't comfortable, but in the greater scheme of things it is the lesser of evils for me.

Isn't THAT the truth?! For someone starting out, DEFINATELY do not use them when going to a huge men's wiffle ball tournament weekend. I had to drive two hours back home (with the excuse of taking the dog home so she didn't cause trouble) to change clothes and get some disposable tampons. NOT a fun experiment. However, once you do get used to them, they're pretty nice. What's better is just not having to worry about that crap at all. I love my IUD!
