I like this idea! I go through loads of the stuff myself and after paying way too much for a fresh tube the other day making my own sounds very appealing.
I tried some with shea butter instead of cocoa butter tonight. The texture turned out a dead ringer for some of the commercial stuff I've been given before.
But I'm not sure if I can use it. Discovered that I don't care for the smell of shea butter. So I added orange flavor oil. That almost covers the scent.
I'll probably try making some scented lotion with the rest of the butter.
I did another try with more beeswax and less coconut oil. Stays firmer in warm weather. The original ones do best in winter. I carry them in my pocket so I've had a good test with them. The ones with the shea butter hold up well. I'll probably make more of them with flavoring oil again.
