You took the words right out of my mouth!!

Oh and by the way we found out when we visited Australia, people make comments there too. One of them was "do you guys own a tv?" (Like we had nothing better to do other than make babies) It took me a minute to figure that one out and when I did I was just as insulted as all of the snide remarks made here.

I think I'm gonna join a morman church, they will love our big family there ...lol

I LOVE when I see big families! I was only blessed with three but I would have loved to have more. When I see a large family I always make a point of telling them they have a beautiful family!

Oh I love how this thread has turned into love for big families! (I was out of town, missed a bit) :clap

We usually have strays... errr.. ummm.. friends, along w/ us wherever we go ;) So I too get annoyed w/ the "are these ALL yours" "did you give birth to all of them" etc.etc.... DH is more ... ummm.. I guess you could say obnoxious w/ a sick sense of humor... and he comes back w/ some real witty comments! :love That always makes me feel better b/c then we LOL as we're walking away. Some people don't mean anything by it, but others are very rude. Move along people... the circus is just passing through! I don't make rude comments about their lack of parenting skills to their one child... so ya don't need to lecture me on my lack of using birth control... etc.etc.etc... We actually WANTED these children.. and they're all a blessing and gift to us. I was told at age 19 that I'd NEVER be able to carry a baby past 3 mos. gestation. By"specialists" and that I needed to think about alternatives. Well... I was blessed w/ 5 beautiful healthy children... though 3 were premies.. and #5 had a really rough start.. so we stopped after that. Too risky for me and future babies. If I hadn't had so many problems w/ #5, I'd have more. We may adopt in the future also. Even when we only had 1 and 2 children.. there were always many children around our home. (from church and neighborhood) kids just magnetize to our home.. always have.

I'm heading out of town again tomorrow.. so don't get all off topic again w/out me! :pop I'll miss somethin' good! :)

You were very blessed to have all 5 of your babies for sure. I'm glad you were able to show the doctors.

I really get touchy about this subject. I hear people trash the duggar family for having 18 kids. While I don't think my body could personally handle that many, she obviously can. They are provided for financially and every other way. My friends and family will trash her and big familes in general then it hits them that I have 6 and they start back pedalling :smack . I'd rather see big christian families out there as good examples then...well the norm!

Hooray for BIG FAMILIES :bun :frow :ya :clap :weee

ok, had to chime in with my story :)

I'm only 1 of 2, and both sides of my family are relatively small, however the DH is 1 of 4, he and his siter being adopted, the other two brothers are biological.

Anyway, he has always wanted lots of kids. When we met/married, we each had a boy from a previous marriage, but have finally (me in my late 30's, he is 40) decided to try for one of 'our own' so to speak. I can say we aren't on BC, and its one of those "if we do, great, if not, well, ok"...but my point is this...

I was seriously thinking of homeschooling if we do end up preggers. Although we live in a very small town, and we are out in the boonies, the school system here is just crap. I've worked in it and know first hand. I would love to have our 3rd be more grounded, and more in tune with things, not so superficial. The kids around here are unbelievable, unless they are complete farm kids, and those are getting fewer by the year.

So I guess I have some convincing to do with the DH, but overall, I'm all for it!! :D

How's this for a comeback, girls?

A man boarded a plane with 6 kids. After they got settled in their seats a woman sitting across the aisle from him leaned over to him and asked, 'Are all of those kids yours?'

He replied, 'No. I work for a condom company. These are customer complaints.

Here' your sign........

I have 5 kids and we got alot of the " Don't you know what causes that business " with our 5th. My favorite response to that was " Yes, but apparently I haven't stopped doing it yet ! " Shut em up every time :D
