How many acres is enough?

when I read through this post...I am utterly flaberghasted....
land here is just sooo expensive...
that it is a luxury too even think of an acre...
it is lovely and beautiful...but unfortunaly we live outside of vancouver which is about the most expensive are in canada..
so for me the thought of consideration..of 3 acres for self sufficiency would be more than enough...

Land here is 5k an acre in my neighborhood, but Pinky is right, it can be gotten for a lot less and a lot more just a few miles away in any direction
