I'm in for $20 as well, and I can go either way. I usually want to be by myself because the people around me are not like minded AT ALL. However in a commune, I think I might be different. I like to help people who are heading for the same goals and lifestyles as I am....ok, put me down for another $20 :clap

I would love to live in a small, tight knit community like that - like the Amish, in the respect that they help eachother. A barn needs raised, everyone shows up for the party. I think that's awesome.

I don't want anyone close enough to judge me if I wanted to sleep late or drink beer etc. :p I don't like being told what to do either. I also like to be away from people most of the time. Close knit isn't for me...too much like living in the city. But that is just me, I'm weird like that.

I wouldn't mind if the digs were run down though. It would feel like camping all the time thats all. If the weather were decent, all I would need is a roof over my head and running water near by.

Don't get me wrong - I do enjoy our privacy. By close knit, I mean adjoining acreage.

Sounds nice - what are the reason(s) why the village(s) are/were abandoned?
I, personally couldn't even fly/boat there..........I'm strictly a land-lover.

Wow! I didn't know you could buy "villages"! Those are pretty cool.

I think I could live in a community, if I was the one that set it up. LOL! People I get along with and have similar ideas and whatnot. :)

 I agree - it would work just fine for me if everyone would just do what I tell them
