Ham Speak. Amateur Radio language for Calling (CQ) From (DE) KXXX (My Amateur Radio Callsign). It's would be transmitted in Morse Code, to call anyone on that hears it, as a way of striking up a conversation over the air.

In Morse Code, there are a lot of shortcuts for commonly words and phrases, used as a way of reducing the number of characters that need to be sent.

you would be one "on air" in those disasterous emergencies....every person is hoping to contact in the "leftover" world. The "voice left out there"

COOL

I personally didn't find the comment sexist or offensive either.

Men also know how to get women to do what they want . . . they offer them chocolate. :D

You're gonna need to find him some cold weather clothes that he'll want to wear ALL OF THE TIME. Then, he'll turn the heat DOWN. My DH loves to drive in the winter--we're temperate and it can be as cold as -20 F--with his coat and hat on. So, I have the opposite problem--he'll freeze me out, since I like to take OFF my coat when I'm driving. It's less bulky. Speaking of heat, maybe you can get your DH a nice, warm hat to wear all the time inside, too. :D

I didn't, either :) In fact, I was about to post some version of it, like "It's a well-known fact that 2 bodies create more heat than 1" :)

Oh, yeah. My husband definitely has the chocolate thing down pat, maybe sometimes a little too well. The worst part is that this life-long chocolate hater is beginning to like chocolate, MY chocolate!

To the OP, here are a couple suggestions, but they may not work for your guy:

1. Get really nice, thick, warm socks. It seems like warm feet help the whole body feel warm.

2. Drink lots of tea or other warm liquids. The whole body warms up!

3. Have throw blankets around for snuggling into while reading in the lazy chair, etc.

4. Jump rope :D I try to leave our heat lower (wood heat) and then just jump rope for a couple minutes to warm up. Great exercise, and your body stays warm for quite a long time. Or do jumping jacks, run up and down the stairs, get on the bike trainer or treadmill, whatever.

This is so true for me. Cold feet mean cold body. Warm up the tootsies and I warm up all over!

I wonder why?
Those hot feet mean so much....
