Yuck, totally. I would never, ever, ever want sewage sludge from a processing plant on my food. Like the article said, people pour paint, prescriptions, motor oil and more contaminants into their drains.
So, we've already got contaminants from CAFOs leaking antibiotic resistant eColi into the food supply, lets add more junk! Your neighbors birth control pills anyone? :/ There are none so blind as those who will not see.
I believe the converter that MS State has been working on will be the widespread answer eventually. Converting sewage sludge to bio-fuel through a biological action, that's just smart.
I'm not sure how their system treats/avoids the contaminants in sewage. They did run a set of lights on campus for several months using only the bio-fuel & a generator.
