I have a bumper crop of lavender this year, how can I make a spray for bed linens? Do I boil it to release the scent? Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I've never done it myself, but I think you'd want to put the lavender chopped up into something like Vodka, and let it soak for a while before sifting the liquid and then mix it with water in a spray bottle. I wouldn't have a clue on how much of the vodka to mix with water - but I bet you could try a few different ones to find the best....

I was just reading this recipe yesterday, and I remembered that someone had been asking about it. You make a lavender extract by placing 1/4 cup dried lavender in 1 cup vodka and allow it to steep for at least 2 weeks. Dilute 1/4 cup of the lavender extract with 3 cups of water and put in a spray bottle.

oh thanks for the info,I too have a great crop and this is just what I need to do with a bunch of it. Will be a liquor store tommorow, but I just might have o use a little of the bottle for a few vodka and cranberries, depending on how my day goes lol
