I wear a flannel shirt over a t shirt. Then I put on a jacket if needed. I do acclimatize myself to the cold. No jacket needed unless we drop into the 30s. 70° is almost too warm for me right now.

I know, enjoy the ability while I can. Mom used to not have issues with cold but she does now

Also for cold hands, total newbies can alter their circulation by visualization/meditation. I imagine red energy pulsing through my arms to my fingertips. You don't have to have a meditation practice or experience to be able to do this. In research, volunteers were able to raise their skin temperature on the first try!

We finally caved in and turned up the heat pump to 70 degrees yesterday. Its turned down to 58 at nite. I wear a hat and a pashmina scarf around my neck. (thrift stores and my trip to Bangalore India in early '20). Also wool socks and boots. Sneakers are too cold this time of year. Long sleeve shirt with sweatshirt on top. Jeans.

On really cold days out, put on the latex/nitrile gloves under regulars. Helps hold your own heat in your hands.
Wow, smart! Thanks for this tip! It will help me a lot! I use a synthetic blanket because I can't stay warm on a cold night with natural fibers. (Maybe I need a leather or fur blanket)

So go to thrift stores and find fur/leather coats and make you a blanket. You are a genius that way.
