Hows this for a pickleing jar!?

I got this at the auction....I was going to try to fill it with buttons...LOL
I decided...I can use it for soaking the pickles in brine...and get LOTS done with ONE soak! Whatcha think?

Wow! Much, much too nice for buttons! How big is it? 2-3 gallons I would guess, at least. Great find :D

Im not sure the capacity...its 12 inches tall...I would have to guess...maybe 5 gallons. I dont have a lid....yet, but I am looking! ;)

OK, So I just went and measured it.....its 3 gallons. I can get...12 quarts of pickles in there!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Come on CUKES!!

I sure could have used that today. I've got another 10 gallons of Icicle Pickles started. Most of them are in gallon glass jars. They take up alot of space, so I had to set them around the masterbath tub. :rolleyes:

I really LOVE my jar...and I know it will be usefull for more than pickles! :D
