Thanks, Deb. I've been through the million IFs since then, and I really could have gotten hurt, so I am grateful that it didn't turn out worse. I'll take a few bruises and being sore for a few days. I came in the house and put my oils and ointments on and I think that helped.

:weee So many fun things!!
Got a package yesterday from a good friend in NY, he shipped me homemade beef tallow and some soap and some beeswax! I can't tell you how excited I am to get a container of beef fat in the mail :p Now I can work on drying some beef and making pemicann to try!

Pintrest really is a dangerous thing. I wander through there at lunch if I'm at the computer, and end up finding all sorts of cool stuff. Found information on felted dryer balls yesterday, and so of course I had to go google them to see if I could make them, and found not only how to make them, but also several recipes for varieties of lotion bars! Now I just have to get my technique down (first batch came out too soft, it would have been perfect for pouring in a tin, but it isn't quite enough to do it as a bar), and then I can start marketing them!
I also think a trip to goodwill is in order to try to find some old sweaters I can take apart for the wool yarn!

Now if I can find some free time to actually accomplish these crafty things I'll be doing even better...

So glad you survived Storm spooking and bolting. :hugs

Ooooooh, Pintrest!!! :ep I just found them a few days ago and will be glad when doc goes back to work and I can take a longer look over there. I think I can find too much to get my attention!

Ohhh do be careful. Pintrest will suck you in!!!!! LOL

Got rain yesterday! :celebrate It was a LOVELY perfect spring rain. It rained so gently that the river water wasn't even muddy when I drove by on my way home. Course it only served to green things up more and I am sure the pollen count is crazy high again today. Thankfully there is more rain in the forecast for Sunday and Monday. The bad news is that it is a lesson weekend. We need rain so bad I don't really care. Hopefully things will green up and get their pollen out over the next few days and then the rain will wash it all off and it will be over. I can dream, right?? LOL

Gotta get things cleaned up this afternoon when I get home. Our riding instructor will be here tomorrow night, and the house must be vacuumed, plus some other things need to be organized and put away. We'll see how much I can get done today.

We're going over to the gun range around the corner to play with Trap shooting tonight. Well, he's gonna shoot, I'm gonna watch since I've never seen it before. I haven't handled the shotgun enough to be effective at shooting and aim at a moving target! I'll find somebody to give me a lesson or two and then go shooting on the open nights.

Years ago my hubby took me out to his BIL's farm to teach me how to shoot skeet. I hadn't really done any shooting, and his gun was just too big for me to even THINK about swinging up. So, he told me to just hold it up and when I was ready to say pull. So I said pull, the little clay pigeon flew up, I pulled the trigger, and powered it!

I think it would be fun to try trap or skeet shooting, but I don't think I'd do too well at it. I take forever to line up my shots, my guys pick on me all the time about it! I would end up following it to the ground, then shooting it five minutes later

It was really cool to watch, and I enjoyed it, and I think I will enjoy shooting once I get a little training. I don't want to make TOO much of a fool of myself the first time around. The gun is big for me, and I have to work to shoot it, and my shoulder would be sore as heck the next day, but I think it will be a lot of fun. We actually saw our neighbor at the gun club, which was nice, he knows quite a few people, so that will help us get sponsored in, which is what we really want. It'll cost us for the membership but it will SAVE us in the cost of going to the ranges and such. Not to mention the gas we'll save since the place is RIGHT around the corner from us! Its a shame I can't just ride the horse over, but we'd have to go around to the front and that would be on the road, and technically you're not allowed to have firearms in the park anyway, and we'd have to go through, LOL. Its fun to think about though :p (not to mention that we can't even get out on the trail at all right now, haha, so that is a pipe dream!)

I had to have my gun modified so I could shoot it. It was too long for me. I haven't shot in years, and want to get back to it. I like to shoot skeet. We used to go to hubby's BIL farm.
