It's the thought that counts. Thank you Dace but, I'll keep the flowers as I like flowers. But, Amos is right. That's a Hereford. Terrible breed to milk. Not the best to work with as a beef breed either. To darn STUBBORN!

Those herefords have itty bitty teats too. You would need a tweezers to milk them!

Dace, I thought California was a hip and new place for milk cows. The commercials say that the ones from WI are moving over there!

California is the place to be, so I loaded up my family and moo-ved to Beverly!

Dang...just tryin' to help!
I do truly appreciate it. If this were a cattle forum then I would use a cow aviator but, it's not, so I can use something else I like. :)

The herefords I've been around have large long teats.

Funny how they have to push that California is the place to be for cows, isn't it. I've never been there but, from what I understand the cows are only out on pasture in primarily one valley. The majority of the others are in feedlot type situations. :idunno I really don't know how they can be happy with the water shortage we keep hearing about in California. Not to mention the earth quakes!

A belated :welcome. Been so busy around here I am just now catching up on everything.

Dairy farming sure is a lot of work and it sounds wonderful.

Does your area allow you to sell raw milk to anyone? Or are you like my area and its illegal to sell to someone off the street?

2dream, no we can not legally sell to anyone. But, cow shares are allowed-last I knew anyway. Our milk goes for cheese. :) And thank you for the welcome.
