Chiming in: Speaking about length of time to boiling, when I use my pressure canner, I start the burner and then set the timer for ten minutes, and by then it has started to steam. So I guess 10 to 15 minutes isn't that far out of line, but I am not that experienced.
I hate water bath canning - but I did it anyway!
