hwillm1977, your sketching is excellent! That we could all be so talented! Nifty ought to contract with you to do an appropriate SS sketch for this site on the info page...it would be the ultimate in SS for the site to have a member provide the proper artwork!

Hubby, daughter, me and my mom went back a few years ago. We took a picture of hubby standing in front of our old house. Then mom has a picture of me standing in the same spot about 20 years earlier. It just wasn't the same. go figure. it's so populated now. the waterfront was THICK with people. not like I remember. they had this one shop down there, like Pier 4 or something, anyway, they had this bird in there named "Mother". long shot, but do ya'll remember that? I was really sad when the Kind Dome came down.

hee hee hee we watched the big King Dome explosion from my roof!
and yes, the city is totally different in all kinds of ways. i visit from time to time (my brother and his family live there) and wow either i didnt notice at the time i lived there or it really changed but everyone got really mean. especially on the freeways... i call it "DWsA" - Driving While Self-Absorbed
but i totally miss the coffee and the food culture there. however now i laugh laugh laugh at the extra expensive fresh goat cheese i would buy at the farmers markets - i make it myself for like $0.34 actual cost of goods.
did you ever go to Mars Hill Church? (marshillchurch.org) with Pastor Mark??? that was my church there and i stay connected with their online sermons. yay!
