so after much research it appears that this thing I inherited is a vinegar mother, made in mexico with pineapple
so I have taken pineapple scrap topped with water in a gallon jug and added the mother (and some sugar)
covered it with cloth so it can breath, it is in a darkish warmish spot
with the mother the vinegar should come along faster...
does anyone know how fast? a couple days? weeks?(most recipies I have found talk about vinegar w/o a mother)
I know my friend likes to drink it fizzy, (right away) over later when I believe it is real vinegar
and can I use this mother with other fruits, or does it have to be used with only pineapple?
