Oh that looks yummy!

I have a bread machine too, but don't use it very often. I made homemade Jalepeno Cheese bread for the first time two days ago and shared it with dh's grandparents. He called yesterday and told me anytime I wanted to get rid of anymore just to call him. I made him another loaf and when he came to get it, he also took a dozen eggs. He told me, "I love shopping at this store.":)
 My family says the same thing, homesteadmomma!

I use my bread machine on the dough cycle. Then separate the dough in half for two 1-pound loaves to bake in the oven. While the bread machine is going, I can start another two loaves in the KitchenAid mixer. This way I can make two different recipes at once if I want.

Want2BFarmer - That is some great looking bread! Keep us posted on how your baking goes. If you have a favorite flour or grain, sometimes you can substitute a small portion for the main flour called for in the recipe.

There are a gazillion recipes around here. Try doing a couple searches in the kitchen section. Let us know how it goes.

The bread looks yummy. I only use my bread machine to get it to the dough part ( have a bad shoulder). The bread that won 1st place at NC State Fair 2008 was done completely by hand and was only the 2nd batch I had ever done. My rolled butter and homemade strawberry preserves will go nicely with that bread.

jfarms,

I posted this easy bread recipe on another part of this forum, but will post it again so you can start out with one that is easy and have success the first time you try it.

No-Knead Tupperware Bread
3 packages dry yeast 3 & 3/4th cups warm water(l05 to 115)
10 cups all purpose flour 6 Tablespoons sugar
6 Tablespoons of stick margerine melted 1 Tablespoons salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten

Dissolve yeast in warm water in a 7 qt. Tupperware container; let stand 5 minutes. Add flour and next 4 ingredients, stirring until well blended. Cover container with Tupperware lid and seal.

Let stand at room temp. until lid "pops" off. Spoon the dough into3 (9 x 5 in.) loaf pans coated with cooking spray. Let rise in warm place (85 degrees) 30 min. or until doubled in size.

Bake at 350 for 40 min or until loaves sound hollow when tapped.

Try this baking method:
For lighter, crustier bread, let loaves rise 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 450F for 15 minutes. Pour 2 to 3 cups of boiling water into roasting pan. Carefully place on oven bottom. Place bread on rack above pan and bake 20 minutes. Turn oven off and allow bread to remain for 5 more minutes. Remove, cool and spread with butter and eat it hot out of the oven.
