let me tell ya, I am too darn old to fall this hard.

Leaving my soap/computer room. Wet dog on hardwood. One toe out the door and BOOM. Foot right out from under me, fell backward, slammed my temple on the door frame, landed dead on my left hip.

WOW I have to say, I thought I had serious injuries on this fall. I was stunned. Big black and blue bump on temple that is swollen....and can barely walk along with a constant hurt on the leg just below the hip...and it is swelling still.

Iced down everything. Called hubby cause I was scared, ya know that shaking, cause I thought I did something real bad...lol.

He called me every hr or so to check on me and I did recover. Head hurts, neck a bit stiff, and walking is still hard and hurts---but I lived.

I tell ya. A stupid fall can seriously hurt you. Blows my mind how one second I was perfect, next second flying thru the air with no control and where ya land is where ya land. YIKES

So it has been about 4 hrs or so and I know I didn't do anything terrible terrible, but OW OW OW OW on the leg and head.

just a reminder...everyone be careful out there :) :)

Had the same thing, sorta, happen to me the other day....right on the sidewalk of a busy street! Talk about embarassing. Just walkin' along, not watching the sidewalk and there was a water main lid and the concrete dipped into it. Rolled my ankle, sent me flying...I was scraped in places I didn't remember hitting the ground with!!! :p

My boys helped me up, trying not to laugh.... :smack Felt like I'd been hit by a truck the next day.

How is it that one can not fall for most of their lives, reach a certain age and start falling around like a drunk? :hu

:hugs Hang in there and take care of yourself. If you whacked your temple, you might have a black eye by tomorrow. Think of all the fun (and totally false) stories you can tell.

this was all interesting to read.

snapshot you are so right. That is what went thru my head. I thought---geez in that split second---it can all change. I think that is why I was shaking so much. It scared me for sure.

Well the old lower back is hurting now also...probably cause I am walking horrible. Can't swing out the leg at all. A real pain in the leg

I hope tomorrow morn when I wake up, more doesn't hurt :p

Glad you seem to be bouncing back! Hate it when gravity refuses to cooperate with a momentary lapse in coordination! Take it easy, and take advantage - I am in the process of getting out of strenuous labor, due to my 'injury', as we speak :D
