Oh man! Speaking of gravity and life changing in an instant...
I just got word that my cousin stepped off the roof of his garage to the ladder, and the ladder got away from him. He landed on top of it.
He's in the hospital in Denver with a broken clavical, 8 broken ribs, punctured lung and 3 broken vertibrae in his neck........He still has feeling in all his limbs, thank goodness.
Suddenly my bursitis isn't bothering me anymore.
FC- Hope you feel better soon. Remember to ice the swelling down some. Warmth is more soothing, but alternating hot and cold helps the healing process go faster. Btw- I like your new avatar.
wow Marianne that is just awful. Those injuries are rough.
My best friends brother was on top of his big rig and fell off. The way he landed he did something to his spine. He was messed up bad, thinking he could not walk again. But he got use of his legs a bit. With those walker cans he can shuffle around upright, he just avoided the wheelchair for life. I tell ya falls are scary!
THANKS everyone for the well wishes cause this morning I am alot better. My leg is not as bad as I thought. Tons of ice and being careful sure helped. I thought for sure this morning I would be probably not walking on this leg, but WOW, it is better! Sore yea, but I can walk pretty well.
Glad you're feeling better! We all do the goofy, fall flat/sidewise/cockeyed at one time or another. I was vacuuming barefoot this summer, daughter had just had her baby and I thought I heard the phone, so I shut off the vacuum and headed towards the phone, but it was in the other room and in my hurry I walked smack! right back into the vacuum and twisted my bad knee and broke two toes! You would think that since I had just let go of the silly thing I would remember where it was! Those toes still hurt a bit, even today! lol
I laid on the floor and instead of crying(like I usually do lately.. darn old menopause anyhoo) and laughed my hinny off..
And to Marianne-I hope your cousin heals up okay!
