Ticks,
do you get up really, really early, set in the cold all morning, sip a cup of hot whatever and wait? My dad is 83. He has a friend with a huge farm. They have sewer tanks that they use to "camo" themselves in. They stay there all morning long, maybe get a duck or 2, go to the cabin and cook a huge breakfast. Good times for him.

Good luck on your hunt ;)

Was wondering if Nifty thinks a hunting category would incite flammage from the animal lovers on these forums(BYC, in particular)? Maybe that's why no official category for killing Bambi? :idunno If so, I expect he knows what is best for the forum, as a whole, and maybe wants to save us all the strife of founding out for ourselves? :/

I'm an animal lover, and one of those freak of nature vegetarians, but that said, I have no problem with hunting. Heck, I encourage it. I'd much rather see people out there hunting for their own food, and animals able to live a normal life in the wild, rather than seeing cows, pigs etc. leading horrific lives in feedlots and on factory farms, and being lined up conveyor belt style for execution. I hope Nifty does create a hunting category. I think it's a critical part of self-sufficient living for many people.
Disclaimer: I think hunting is great, when it's hunting for food! Don't get me started on "sport" or "trophy" hunting though! :he

again shouldn't it come down to ---read and open a thread IF you want to. Just cause some animal lovers might protest, does that mean we who hunt shouldn't chat about it?

not a debate or anything...just a fact from me as I see it...LOL-LOL

Yeah, that's the general idea...but you know darn well, after being on the BYC, all the whiners and complainers abound! No matter how many times you say...just don't read it!...they still manage to think you're stepping on their particular toes and have to make a ruckus!

Me? I have not one smitch of diplomacy..surprised I can even spell it! I don't give a rat's fuzzy behind what others may feel about killing Bambi for food. Heck, in a food crisis, I'd even kill my dogs for food! And anyone high-minded enough to think they wouldn't just have never been hungry before. ;)

LOL-LOL--now that is sure to maybe cause a rukus! HA HA---BUT I would eat my dogs ALSO if I had too....I wouldn't think twice! We are certainly the same in that area! :)

YAWN---YEA YEA I know what you mean, truly. Some people FEEL it is their RIGHT to set me straight many times about my beliefs and such.....Hmm...hasn't worked yet..HA HA HA

but I gotta say I hate censorship cause of a pain in the &^% person type. :th

I've noticed that its getting quite popular in the world to report your neighbor for any kind of animal neglect or abuse...even if you don't have any of the facts and don't really know if they are being abused or not...just report, report, report.

Also on the forums, they feel like they have to report any posts that offend their delicate sensibilities in regards to animals. I still say...just don't read it, Mowgli!
