Inexpensive Chicken Treat Feeder

I use an old metal clothes hanger for giving many types of treats to the girls. Here it is with Brussel Sprouts.

And here it is hung up in the run.

That's pretty slick! I have read about people hanging a head of cabbage in the coop, etc. Those idiots of mine out there looked at me like I was nuts and didn't touch it.

Mine did the same thing, Marianne...I hung it inside a net onion bag. It took A WHILE for them to figure out what to do with it. But I like the hanger idea, too.

I hang cabbages in the coops for the birds in the winter....especially if I know I will be super busy for a few days. ( holiday stuff) They love it. I use the coat hangers as well...they last forever!!
