Yep, I don't want to be a gloom & doom artist, but I do believe we will wake up one morning to find bread has jumped to $50 bucks a loaf. :/

Is it smug to be able to say, "Told ya so" to folks? Hate to bring religion into it but this was already foretold by Biblical prophesy....can't imagine why folks get surprised by it.

I truly don't think folks are surprised. There isn't a person on this earth that doesn't see what we are truly doing to mankind.

I think they are in denial.

I think there are a lot of people in denial too.

But it seems like more and more people are waking up and taking some action. Suddenly keeping chickens is not so unusual, for instance. Not sure that keeping chickens will help much though. :/

I don't think so, really. I think a general ability to fend, grow, and do without for oneself will be the mainstay of SSers like ourselves. And realizing that it can and will get worse, no matter what anyone says.....its supposed to.
