Have a wonderful time :)

Your DH is lucky to have you to take care of him! I am certain he is going to miss you.

Thanks! I am really excited about going. I haven't been on a week-end retreat before. I can imagine how it must be, based on dh's wonderful experience. Just think - 2 1/2 days of just praising God! :D

We got a dusting of snow last night. 31 this morning and 29 with the wind. Our high today is supposed to be 42. A real heat wave! :gig  It is raining this morning, but more possibility of snow this evening.

I am having oatmeal with peach jam, with my hot coffee for breakfast. :D Then I am going to start packing for the week-end; I think I'm taking flannel sheets with me. :gig

I am thinking of making chili for dinner. It will give DH another meal option while I am gone. It will be strange not seeing him for days; I'm sure I am going to miss him.

Have a good time! Be careful in all that weather, people turn into idiots when the snow and rain hits, tons of accidents around here and we only got rain!

Thankfully, the roads aren't bad - just wet.

I posted this earlier, when the date was Oct 5. But when I was at the laundromat yesterday, I saw the date is now Oct 25.

I heard that at a recent United Methodist Women's meeting, there was discussion about the Flat Rock Homes Quilt Auction on Sunday, October 25 at Wadsworth United Methodist Church. Quilt preview begins at 1:30, Tickets are $3. The church is at 195 Broad Street in Wadsworth, OH. The proceeds from the auction are going to the ministry to benefit children and adults with mental and developmental disabilities.
Also I saw a poster at church Wednesday night that the Congregational Church in Jefferson is having a market day - if you Bake It, Grow It, Make It - you can bring it to the market day to sell. I will have to look up their information after the week-end is over.

I have chili and cornbread cooking for dinner. Perfect weather for it - the temperature is 37 and it is rainy. The temperature is dropping tonight.

Will be in Austinburg for the Boo Wow Walk with my dog.
Was going to go in costume but it looks like a raincoat instead. I was going to dress as a little girl in PJ's and a bow around Lexie's collar as my big stuffed animal. She won't go for costumes, so that's as close as I could get to one.
So far it's still on. :p

No snow while I was away from home. Just cold and some sun, but mostly rainy. The temp is 28 this morning; and 24 with the wind chill. Our high is supposed to be 58 today.

We got home late last night. I think it will take me half the day to get back into routine and unpack things I brought home from the retreat.

The Koinonia week-end was an awesome experience. Our God IS an awesome God!
