Super pretty. I love the color choicesMy eldest finished the daily temperature blanket for her younger sister. It weighs almost 8 pounds.
I'm so fascinated by all this. You go from sheep to wool to yarn to clothing. How cool is that! Maybe I should get some Angora goats or some Pygoras? Oh heck no, lol. What was I thinking?I’ve been spinning… and spinning… and not doing anything with the yarn… yet but this will eventually be a sweater!
Angora goats are not super hardy, but pygoras… do it! I’m spinning from roving currently so this yarn made a pit stop at the mill for washing/carding but I do plan to do at least one fleece the whole way through this year. Pygoras were on my wish list, but a the local fiber mill talked me out of it. They told me the wool is only usable for the first year and then it's too low of quality after that. But hey... thanks for reminding me I want a Pygora anyway. The fiber mill also talked me out of alpaca in the same conversation.I'm so fascinated by all this. That would get me in so much trouble! I'd have to make sure I had new babies every year to keep the first year wool coming in!They told me the wool is only usable for the first year
because of the hair.’m not sure why it would only be good the first year
