How often/how much do you drink per day.

have you noticed any overall health benefits--ie feeling better, not catching illnesses as quickly, conditions improving etc (of course all hypothetical as you can't say how you woule be NOT drinking it)

Any preferred ways to drink it/use it.

Have you played around with tea strengths, sugar amounts etc.

I have been drinking it for a couple of months if not a wee bit longer and the one thing I have noticed is that I no longer have digestive issues. I also notice that I'm not hungry after I drink it and I have a small boost of energy to boot.

I drink mine like I drink my martinis--straight up dirty. :p I love the taste of full strengh kombucha tea.

I drink it first thing in the morning and If I have enough I'll drink another 8 oz in the afternoon.

I've had digestive troubles my entire life, and the kombucha really helps. When I first started making it, I craved it....and I don't like the taste, imagine that! I was drinking at least a pint a day and would've had a quart, but thought that was probably excessive, plus I would run out.

I mix mine with homemade ginger chai tea, about 1 part kombucha, 1 part chai, and 2 parts water. Yum!

I tried to get the amount of sugar to be a bit lower, but if you let it ferment long enough, the bacteria convert all the sugar so it is not really a problem for me, although I am very sensitive to sugar. I use a scant cup per gallon of tea and ten tea bags. I make two gallons at a time.

I still am not brewing my own and it is costly to buy the commercial stuff. I did find one brand that is wonderful right out of the bottle, so i figure it must have too much junk in it and I don't buy it (even though it is yummy) When I do buy a bottle I drink about 3 oz and add a little juice to sweeten it and about 6 oz water. I love it.

I am not consistent enough to talk about health benes, but I do believe it makes me feel better overall when I am drinking it regularly!

Can we get a recipe for this stuff and does it have many calories to it? I'm fixin' to go have some stomach surgery and will be on liquids for awhile so I'm looking for some things to break up the monotony that won't be filled with preservatives and chemicals.

I JUST got my scoby, so I'll be taking notice of health & digestive changes. I tasted a tiny bit of the starter that was included in my scoby, and it wasn't bad at all. More lemony than vingerary. The starter was nettle & lemongrass tea, so that may have contributed to the lemon flavor. Not bad at all. The scoby I got had 2 babies attached, so I separated them off & put them in the fridge for reserve. My tea is on day 3 I think, and has already gained a slightly acidic flavor. I used a 1/2 cup sugar, 3/4 gallon of water, 6 black tea bags & 2 green.

I spooned out a tiny bit of the starter from the other babies & added it to my regular tea last night. I was pepped up, but I usually perk up right before I crash at night, so probably nothing more than usual.

I really haven't noticed changes. I have to say that I don't drink it consistently, either, so I may not be a good guinea pig.
