Well, I'm officially no longer an alpaca owner. I sold my last 3 girls this week. I'm still doing birthing for others but at the end of this year, I will be alpaca-less. I was ready for it but I have to admit that watching them pull out of the driveway made me sad. This was my world for 14 years. It is time to move on but I guess I will end up mourning the loss a bit. I thought I was so ready to give it up and be so happy to be done with alpacas but tonight I'm feeling otherwise.

I'm now working at Meyer Hatchery two days a week. They needed the help and I was ready to work more than one day. At this point I really can't work more than that but it is nice to get out and earn some money.

I don't know if all the Walmart's have this sale but dog coats/sweaters are drastically reduced. I just picked up some dog sweaters for $1.50 each. They will work perfectly for baby goat coats.

Aw, that is sad Karen. I know you loved your alpacas. Are you guys under water yet/still? It's so depressing right now to see nothing but rain in the forecast for the weeks to come :/
