We have actually bought some tax sales certificates at the last auction and they were redeemed pretty quickly but we made our 10% and moved on. There was nothing within our reach with any amount of land though. There's a commissioners sale coming up in 2 weeks though and we're going to try to pick up a few more certificates at that sale.

If this one in particular doesn't work out, we'll just keep our ear to the ground for the next chance to own our own little slice. We like where we're at now. Our current setup is 2 1/2 acres outside of town and we've doubled the size of the garden every year, added 3 hives and 10 chickens. We just wonder what we could do if we didn't live on a hill side and had more room to roam. If the farm comes through, we're contemplating maybe just keeping this place to rent out but that's a whole other ball of wax!
