Sorry to hear about Maggie. Is she doing better?
My dog has been sick about 3 times over the past month. Throwing up & drinking lots & lots of water. The first time I thought it was something he ate, but then it happened two more times. Took him to the vet. They have no idea. Gave him a shot & some meds to take for a few days. Motion sickness preventive for dogs. It's been almost 2 weeks now with nothing new.

Her illness lasted about 36 hours. She's been fine since then. I think that she eats too much duck poop! She's always had a very delicate digestive system.

Posting this here, because I didn't want to put it anywhere where someone might be offended. I am concerned about a friend:
Can you tell me if this sounds abusive?
My friend's husband won’t let her visit any friends or family. He has made her stop all contact with them unless it’s on the phone or computer. He reads and censors her comments on social media.
He makes her feel like she's going crazy for thinking he’s controlling, and that she is being ungrateful. (After all, he’s only doing this because of how much he cares about her.)
He doesn’t want her going to the gym anymore, so she doesn’t go. He also doesn’t let her go to work anymore (he told her to only rely on him for income and that he will take care of her).
She's not really allowed to go out anymore, unless it’s for necessities, and when she does, he makes sure to have people guilt trip her about it and shame her for it.
He wants her to have this medical procedure done and tells her that if she does it, he will allow her more freedoms.
He constantly says he's only doing all of this because he cares... he is just doing it for her own good.
Oh wait....did I say husband? I meant the government.
My bad.
You have been conditioned to be outraged if another person did this to their spouse, but be passive & compliant when it comes to our government.

I (hell not I my wife) put it on our face book page. We got one smart As reply from my one Liberal friend and his entire argument was stupid and I wasn't going to argue (ecspecially on Face book that I don't look at or control). All of what he said was wrong and well just dumb. Even though he's an older man that i respect at work and his gardening, the silly comments today were like talking to my three yr old.

Agreed, you might as well be talking to a bag of rocks. Some people have their eyes shut and fingers stuck in their ears, and are screaming "la-la-la-la-la-la-la-!!!" they just don't want to be bothered with looking at the truth. I'm sure your lib friend was repeating the same abusive rhetoric that was in the "description of an abuser" that you posted!!!

72* right now!!! Black flies are starting to swarm. Blood thirsty beasties they are. Planted an other row of peas yesterday. Put corn in a shared bed w/potatoes. A larger patch is already planted w/potatoes, and hoed rows waiting for a second variety of corn. That patch is being planted on a corn, potatoes, corn x 3 pattern, 1' between each C/P/C row, then a 2' path, rinse and repeat 2 more times. Pole beans are soaked and ready for planting today. All this stuff is going in early. But, if I don't push the season, I'll be wanting on the other end of the season.

This afternoon, hubby cut the cedar slabs for my new beds. Then, he manned the fire hose while I gave them the shou-sugi-ban treatment. I'm not even gonna take a steel brush to them. Just screw them together in all of their charcoal covered beauty.
