Last night my husband and our 2 children went to a Richmond, Va holiday tradition. Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens decorates the entire grounds with thousands of lights. The children's garden is decorated and had a big bonfire with smores for the children. They even made a vegetable garden out of lights and material. This years theme was Fire and Ice, it displayed glass art by Frabel throughout. They had a several displays of trains, one that went through a "fairy garden" with little fairy houses planted with real flowers in the greenhouse that houses their orchid display. Frabel did over 20 different species of frogs and lizards that are either endangered or extinct out of glass for inside the orchid garden.

If you're ever in Richmond around Christmas time, make sure you go see it cause the pics don't do it justice!

Enjoy

And this one is my absolute favorite of the entire display....the greenhouse housing the orchid exhibit is in the background....this peacock is HUGE, you can see how big by the size of the building right next to it.
