I didn't notice until the next day, and then I put them into the refrigerator, and forgot about them for a few days,

excited when I found them, I forgot that it isn't like the jelly that didn't seal (enough sugar to preserve the fruit), I tasted one wanting fresh peach flavor, but instead, there was a strong tingly sensation on my tongue, I didn't allow my self to really taste it, cause I didn't want to die,lol

just wondering now, for those with experience, were these peaches on their way to becomming something terrific? maybe fermented, boozey somthing or a vingar something?

(they were hot packed peaches with a light sugar syrup, sealed in a hot water bath, well, not this one jar)

just wondering if anyone knows?
thanks in advance, you guys are great!

Only one day on the counter, then say, a week in the fridge? Seems too quick to ferment, but they could be turning into alchohol!

I was thinking after I dumped them, that they may have been on their way to turning into some sort of alcohol, as the tingly fizzy sting on my tongue reminded me of apple cider that turned hard (before I knew how good hard cider was, I dumped that out tooo rolling my eyes at myself, I guess I err on the side of caution) thanks for your help
