i had a lady stop earlyer and make a comment about my billy goats big belly. the lady doesnt live out here, and doesnt own goats. i have always welcomed people and love to show my animals off but people are just snarky and rude anymore. i dont know if it was real concern or what but it made me uncomfortable. and now i worry about my billy. i hate this. i am realy thinking about putting a gate across my driveway with no traspassing signs. :he

Can you post pics? I've seen goats w/big bellies B4 that had no problem. In fact w/one, I had to laugh. It was a whether and was in a zoo. (They had a petting zoo in it.) One woman was looking at it and saying something about it was going to have babies soon. I don't know if she believed me when I told her it was a male goat.

Just from the pic - I don't think his belly looks that big. Of course, I have mostly pygmies on my place and they are known for their big bellies anyway.

It's hard to tell too much from a pic, but my guess is that he's ok.... :)

i thought he was, he is such a baby! he cries if i am late with the feed! and he jumps up on me, which i am going to have to put a stop to.and his color is good.

i think i am going to move the goat pen to the back side of the property. and i am still trying to talk hubby into putting a gate across the driveway.

got a mini donkey. hubby brought him home today! he looks just like jimmy in mini! grace looked at him with a look of "dude what the heck did they do to you?" he had never seen a dog- so he tried to stomp them into the ground. and he doesnt like the goats. *sigh*

i had to catch my turkeys (in the dark) and grabed the female by the tail for like 1/2 a second and she let go of her tail feathers. :hit i hape it wont hurt her. sure wont be pretty!

this is charlie:
