The lowest I seen on the internet is $89.00 and ther sold out. I had a chance to get one at an auction I bid up to 75 the next increment was a 100. I stop when it got to 75. It went for 75. That was with the bayonet and sling. So far it seem like it would be a good cheap choice for a gun.

Mosins are great rifles for the price.
Ammo is cheap, big caliber and are quite accurate.
Now a days I believe they run around 250-300 CAD.
Owned both of mine for years, one is a bit of a Bubba job and the other is original, both still shoot great.

They are definitely powerful, roughly equivalent to a 30-06 and they CAN be quite accurate, but not all of them are.
