Hello BB! So how old are you? I was reading the thread on goats tonight. Sorry mom said no.....bummer :( But I learned a lot about tying-up goats. I'm just thinking of goats tied to tires

LovinLife, he maybe isn't really supposed to tell his age because it could be less than 18. It is a forum rule.

We call him the youngin' for a reason though.

Don't be fooled by the title youngin', however, he knows more about being SS than many people way past their prime and has a good deal more sense than lots of folks too, of all ages.

Got our pig fence Friday. DH put it up except I only got three panels. We got the stock or hog fence which comes in 16' lengths and I thought 16 squared would be too big. However when DH put the first side up I realized I wanted it to be 16' all the way around. This will be half the size my garden was last year, which is good. I am hoping piggy will till and fertilize the area for me then we will move her to a permanent pen. We still don't know how we're going to move a 40-50 lb pig yet but we will figure it out  She's only about 15 lbs now but will probably be that big in a couple months. I've been weaning her off milk but she wants nothing to do with her pig pellets. I started by giving her milk then put bread in it to get her to try to start chewing. I try to give her pellets soaked in milk but she just snorts and pushes it with her snout (as if she's looking for something better). So now I think she just wants more bread. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to get her to eat pellets but maybe if she gets hungry enough she's give them a try.

I think your pig will eat anything when its hungry enough. But I would ask OFG if you have any questions.

Great thanks! If it becomes a concern for me I will ask OFG but for right now she seems good and healthy. :)

Today is day #2 without coffee. :/ I had a green smoothie this morning and yesterday morning instead of coffee. Not that I had a choice considering I refused to pay that crazy amount of money for coffe! But as I was cleaning today a thought accured to me.....if I quit vacuuming then my electric bill would be probably about $2 less each month.... yeah right after about a month we would have to move in with the pig, her house would probably be cleaner!
