LOL...i hear ya Deb...i've never eaten Piping Plover either, don't know if it taste like chicken... My God, a Piping Plover is only a tiny seashore bird..! Wouldn't be enough to fill a cavity...lol
It all started with a local fight over beach driving rights around here yrs ago.They ban beach driving in certain areas to protect the PP chicks from getting run over by beach drivers.The local beach fishseiners response was a bumper sticker saying, you guessed it...." Piping Plover taste like chicken"...lol

Wonder what kill deer would taste like? They're a type of plover, and can drive me nuts! They're so loud there have been times I'm about ready to shoot them.

Ahhh..you must live near the seashore.. Yeah, all those shorebirds can get crazy and loud when nestings and protecting thier young...in fact all birds and most people....lol

I live between the Atlantic Ocean and the Delaware Bay, so yeah, I'm kind of near the shore. :/ We get all kinds of gulls flying overhead, but the ones I notice the most are the laughing gulls. They're really loud and annoying. And, I can't figure out what joke they're laughing at.
