Your recipe sounds great, Beekissed. That's a wonderful memory about your mother. When I was first married (decades ago!) we moved overseas and I was so homesick for my large family. I'd cook things mom used to cook to fill the apt with those aromas and make me feel a little closer to them. Cooking (and baking) is about so much more than just making something edible, isn't it?

BTW, re your name, do you keep bees? That's my next skill I want to learn...

Going to start in the spring, as a matter of fact! The Beekissed was the name of the lip balms I make from beeswax and other ingredients~I was researching a beek site and needed a forum name.....and the rest is history, as they say! I just started using it for ALL forums and here I am.

I am going to build a top bar hive from a plastic barrel, two in fact. I purchased The Naked Beekeeper, as I want to raise bees more naturally~like to do everything more naturally here on the farm dot.
