I will give my chickens the kefir milk, the whey and they Love Love the curds. They will rub there beak across the plate trying to get it all. My dogs get it........ and I make smoothies every day. It is also a great tenderizer/marinade for all kinds of meat. I raise meat rabbits and kefir is a big part of my marinades.
You can also peal and slice ginger, put it in a glass jar and add sea salt and whey. PUt it in the fridge and try it about 2 wks later. Wonderful wonderful...............
You can let it go a bit longer and get lots of curds and whey and then strain it through cheese clothe for 12 hours. Then you have a sour cream type product and or cream cheese...... fun fun to play with.
Tonight I took this product and put it in a bowl. I drizzled honey over it, sprinkled it with cinnamon, and a bit of nutmeg... it was wonderful. would be great on grilled banana's or other fruit.
