Just set 18 Silver-Laced Wyandotte eggs. :fl that this batch is less eventful than the last one.

Just tilled the garden and the corn patch.

The guy I'm buying my bees from called last night and said he'd be here in two weeks with my bees :celebrate

I've finally decided where I'm going to put the pig pen, for this year at least. There is a 200sq foot area beside my garden that I can't get to with the tiller because the dump truck load of compost we bought earlier this year is in the way. I figure it's as good as spot as any to put the pigs, let them do the tilling and be able to expand the garden next year.

My oldest has decided he wants to show a heifer next year in 4H. We picked one out of the herd a couple weeks ago but I need to build a corral next to house to put the mama and baby in so we can start working with the little heifer calf. She is so cute!

I still haven't heard back from the guy with the goats yet. If I don't get these ones it's ok, I've got my eyes on a couple others. It's just the not knowing that drives me crazy. :barnie

Well, I learned a lot yesterday. I learned that six week old pigs can run right through cattle panels and I learned that my dog Nelson has a taste for uncured bacon. Luckily both the pig and the dog survived. Nelson heard that the pig's name is Dinner, he just didn't understand that she is MY dinner not his.

:woot Look at your garden! Everything's looking great! Seeing breakfast lunch and dinner made me realize I haven't had breakfast yet. Yum.
