Have you smoked your own bacon or ham yet, from scratch?

If this is directed towards me, I do all of our bacon :drool but have yet to attempt a ham.
We order a plain pork belly, I use my own rub on it, and smoke/cook it about half done. We then split the belly length wise, and slice it up THICK. Then we vacuum seal it in meal sized portions. One belly lasts us almost a year.
