I thought one of the funniest was the expression on their faces when the man asked what they think of 2 men getting married.

I know that rocked their world...HAHA

Natives said only reason for marriage is to have kids.

very basic, makes sense..LOL

I found that to be amusing also, but I don't think the two fellas did... :p I wonder, do they not have homosexual relationships in their culture? I've often read about such things and how they were handled in the Native American tribes but these guys seemed very shocked at the very idea, which leads me to believe that this was a new concept to them.

I also think they handled it with amazing aplomb, considering how it was just sprung upon them like that.

when you have to work as a team to survive and breed and keep a tribe alive and prosper....the concept of 2 men mating is not going to wash...LOL

Men and women have their role. For this group, I don't think they need the weird roles of society out there nowadays.....they probably keep to their basic human life and basic nature.

on the nearby island of Papua New Guinea, they have ritualized homosexuality (they believe young boys need to be inseminated by the older boys in order to have the male lifeforce) and other island tribes in the S Pacific have lifelong homosexual relationships.

cultures have different ways of organizing themselves and the heterosexual one-man-one-woman family unit is far from being the universal norm. the concept of men marrying men might be unheard of because in a lot of societies marriage really is only about procreation, but that doesn't mean they don't understand (or accept) homosexual relationships.

I love how shocked they were at how OLD our food is. The look of disgust on their faces when they realized the frozen turkey had been dead for months and then when she started to cook it in plastic!!

They were shown affluent people, but they saw it all.
