I think there are less noticeable indents and buckling on those corrugated panels. We have several cyber trucks running around here. As a former airframer, the skin of those things is put together shoddily.

If I wanted an El Camino with less functionality I'd get one and shorten the bed

it would bug me severely to spend that much for a vehicle and have it not look decent.

now if some day in the future i can pick up a used EV for a decent price i won't mind as much what it looks like - nobody expects a used car to look too fresh and out here it's not really practical either to worry too much about pristine...
