Looking for a good developer close to me. Getting film isn't an issue and I want to play with the old Pentax that Mom gave me

remember to check when advancing the film that it is actually advancing... i didn't notice once that i failed to load the film properly and then paid to develop a roll of mostly nothing, but the real problem was that i missed getting some really cool pictures and there was no way to replicate the event/pictures so now i only have the experience in my mind and how i can best write it up.

Mom had taught me to always take 2 blank pictures with the lens on after loading film when I was younger. Makes sure don't have any partially exposed film from loading it. I only had a fairly cheap camera, though. Made me feel the difference between film hooked properly and improperly.

Need to find where hubby's camera he used to take on cruise went. He said it's a Canon so telephoto lenses I have are mostly interchangeable.

Had to order a new 55mm lens for my dslr while still cheap. It quit talking to the camera for auto focus which I use a lot with birds. The telephoto still communicates fine so know it isnt the camera electronics.

Film photos are very difficult to manipulate, so they generally are considered to be real photos. Digital photos however, are easy to manipulate, they could be real or fake. There's a big difference

Having tons of strips of negatives from over decades, I now prefer digital. Instead of trying to analyze everything for the best shot, I can play with the settings and take a bunch of different shots. That treasured Kodak 110 cost me a bunch, particularly as it convinced me to upgrade to a 35mm.

My college buddy is more into photography than I am and he uses a photo editor. He has placed high in amateur contests over the years.

I need to get back out there this summer with my hiking photoshoots.
