The good old days I remember red medicine burned like fire.
Growing up had a friend and we were running barefoot in the bank barn. He got a splinter in his big toe about the size of a tooth pick. He hobbled to the house where his mom cleaned off the kitchen counter. She got his dad who was milking to come in and his mom held his chest down and I held his legs while his dad cut and dug the splinter out. We got ice cream after that.
The good times we had

I found an old bottle of that stuff in my mom’s medicine cabinet. With the rubber top and glass wand to doctor one right up. I still have it. Memories!
