Watched a glorious sermon, some readings and choir choruses singing carols this morning, as I waited for sunrise. It was beautiful!

Hope everyone is having a good one. Here in good old New Zealand we are in the middle of summer which means Christmas BBQ, swimming in the river, air conditioners on 24-7 and severe sun burn.

I asked my granddaughter why she painted my thumbnail green? She rolled her eyes and said "because you make plants grow, you know green thumb?"

Children sure do pay attention don't they?

But aren't my nails just beautiful?

My grandchildren, all of them

P.S. I have acetone, I could remove the fingernail polish, but ain't going to. I seem to think having my nails painted by my granddaughter, is alright by me.

Sure hoping for a good year of gardens and "putting up and putting by" ..... getting ourselves all in a better place for surviving the coming "storms" that I think we are going to be facing in this country.
