Missile Launch 35 Miles Off the Coast of L.A.

After watching the video several times, it is possible that the "missile" is actually a commercial jet flying west to east. The contrail is just lit up by the evening sun and the exhaust plume is actually the sun shining off of the body of the jet.

Dang, you're good k0xxx...a talking-head they interviewed on NBC Nightly News at 7pm said the exact same thing!

I know I saw a pic once on a TV show that was supposed to be of a UFO. I looked at it and said shuttle, and then someone on the show said the same thing.
